I'm a documentary photographer based on a tropical fruit farm on the Big Island of Hawaii. I've covered human interest stories, spot news, natural disasters, protests, sports, concerts and everyday rural life. I'm genuinely curious about people and am especially drawn to stories with themes of diversity, resilience and individuality. Making a connection with my subjects and conveying their true nature is central to my work. Clients include Agence France Presse, Zuma Press, Hana Hou! The Magazine for Hawaiian Airlines, Honolulu Star Advertiser, Hawai'i Magazine and other publications.
My background is in social work, but I've been taking pictures and studying photography most of my life. Currently, I take classes with Duke’s Center for Documentary Studies. I’m fluent in French, conversant in Spanish and available for assignments worldwide. For questions, please contact me at info(at)ronitphoto(dot)com.
